  1. Thank you so much Dr.Levine.
As a 66 year woman who has worked on my developmental issues due to disfunctional bonding, abandonment issues and childhood sexual abuse and religious abuse, I have done so many types of therapy including ECT and still have so much more to do but I wonder if having ADHD/Autism spectrum and years of alcohol dependence ( sober 25 years) is what makes it so difficult for me to sustain a healing momentum or focus and wondering if this is part of why it’s taken my brain so much work to even get to where I am now. These webinars have helped me more than any therapy I have had except when I felt safe . rarely.
I can move beyond suicidal ideation much faster and I can actually do mindfulness exercises for more than seconds so I can see and feel my progression but my health has taken the brunt of my inability to understand my emotional states and dis- regulation.
Any exercises that I can do on my own. I canning afford therapy and finding someone who is well versed in Somatic Therapy is rare and expensive.
Again,Thank You for your amazing work and sharing your story.
    Suzanne

  2. This was lovely, especially the way the young woman and Peter sort of co-regulated together on a number of levels. But I have a question too re whether there are questions I need to answer in order to receive the CEU’s I paid for?

  3. What a privilege to see and hear the great Peter Levine. I learned, I appreciate this experience. It is incredible that he shares his own experiences openly. What a gift Peter Levine is. Thank you

  4. Excellent. I learned a great deal in this short session. Looking forward to looking into more of Levine’s research. This exercise was extremely helpful. I felt something release in my brain.

  5. Sending compassion to all those who have and are experiencing trauma.
I wonder why the vu sound works. I tried it and it seems helpful.

  6. Thanks for such an important and sweet dialogue between you two!!
And The vu was a surprise.. it’s related to the mantra of the second chakra..VAM.. so happy to meet this ancient practice in piters new version.

  7. How can I switch to English?
Possibly because I’m based in Germany, the talk is being automatically translated to German. The translation sounds quite robotic and I find it quite unpleasant to listen to. It would be great if I could listen to the original talk in English.

  8. Every time I listen to Dr. Peter Levine, he never fails to share life-changing insights. Thank you Dr Peter Levine.

  9. Excellent concise information and technique demonstrations/explanations. Much thanks to Dr Levine for his lifelong body of work and to all of you for making this session available! In my eyes, Dr Levine is a shining star!

  10. Thank you Perter Levine for sharing your expertise, wisdom, authenticity and compassion – really enriching and heartwarming! Feeling blessed.

  11. Why are the talks of Peter Levine and Arielle Schwartz in German? I would rather like to watch it in the original.

  12. years ago, I participated in bio-energetics workshops. Is there a connection between Peter’s work and that of Alexander Lowen?

  13. Thank you Dr Levine, this was just a simple way to understand how to regulate the nervous system and understand the role of the vagal nerve system. Also thank you for the Vu exercise.

  14. This was so moving! Thank you Peter for all you’ve done and continue to do to improve our knowledge and wisdom in this field.

  15. So now I want to do the somatic experience training, especially after I discovered that there is no one single practitioner in my country.

  16. This first video from the Summit with Peter Levine is so personable — a really good opener that avoids the usual webinar stiffness. I especially enjoyed the part where Peter said it can sometimes be more traumatic to witness a terrible event than to experience it.

  17. This dear man has been such a base for my PTSD recovery decades ago, I can never thank him enough. Such a pleasure to listen to him again and learn yet even more. Thank you all, profoundly.

  18. The expansion and contraction that Peter referred to around 31 minutes in reminds me of the contractions in labor. We have a contraction and the cervix dilates and opens up. Our whole being of consciousnesses opens and expands. If that doesn’t symbolize childbirth! How profound. And as a being moving through the birth canal being part of that contraction and expansion, it is an experience. One depending on the state of contraction or expansion that we are in at time of birth, could end up with trauma.

  19. Thank you. Really helpful .And VU exercise reminds me of how good Mongolian Overtoning, and Tibetan Chanting felt to do- gives an insight into why!
